I need to show you a point that is very important to your established work from home Internet business.
All throughout this website I go to a lot of trouble telling you how easy it is to start a work from home small business or how to find a decent small business idea, and then how to use online skills to get a solid and secure business that literally runs itself.
I realise that because of the dishonest world that we live in these days that people are so sceptical, and need double and triple proof before they try anything new.
However I was busy doing work for a client earlier today when I realised that I never show you what performance an established website has.
Let me try to make it clearer.
Firstly – I tell you these facts – and they are true. To have a successful web based business that earns you a full time income you need
- Carefully chosen niche or business idea – that has existing people searching for that item, product or service everyday.
- You then need to correctly set up your website. WordPress, seo etc.
- You need to follow a few simple to apply daily tasks.
- You get busier and start to collect your money.
Now while that is exactly true, I always cover myself and tell you that you should not expect an income before three months, and expect a full time income after 6 months to a year. Generally this would be very true if your work from home business was in a very competitive niche
.
However there are some businesses that could get you inquiries and be fully profitable within 30 days.
This post is not about all that, but I am careful in promising you unrealistic facts, so I generally err in my favor.
Now I will go on to tell you that for your website to even start working at all, you need 50 plus pages, and 75 posts at the very least. Again I am erring in my favor.
Here is why.

This website that you are reading this on, was initially set up to target a keyword that only gets 880 exact searches a month online.
I get an average of 170 visitors a day, and that number is climbing at the rate of 30 more per month.
So I am getting 5000 visitors a month to this website and should be getting no more than 880.
You would agree that this number is a big difference.
The reason is two fold.
Firstly I have become established and Google trusts my website to deliver posts and pages relating to my main core niche.
Secondly I have added different keywords in my posts and titles that are slowly getting me more and varied business.
Yeah, Yeah – I am getting to the point of this post soon I promise
Now take a look at this image here.
You will note (and please no rude snide comments about how I do not do what I preach) that this website has only 47 posts and 43 pages.
Now remember the numbers that I mentioned above?
50 Pages and 75 posts before your site even gets noticed.
Well this one was getting 25 visitors a day a year ago and now is at 170 plus.
Six or seven times busier with less pages and posts than what I suggest as the minimum needed for a website to be considered “alive”
Now this site of mine could be considered an “authority site” already and I tell you all this to bring me to the reason I wrote this post and made a video for you in the first place.
Once your website has established itself online – Google will reward you with a bonus that is absolutely beautiful.
That bonus is in recognition for your website being well established in its niche.
Here is what happens.
When you have a brand new website and you chase a keyword for page one – it could take you a few months to get there.
When you have an established website your page or post relating to that keyword could get onto page one in days – Because of that trust/authority factor.
I went and made a video for you showing you an example of a keyword that has about 15000 exact searches a month locally and internationally. I got onto page one twice (locally and internationally) within 10 days.

Uh, one last thing – LOL, look at my post title – you will see that I used
“work from home“ in the title and have repeated it a few time down the post, and for good reason – I will more than likely start to feature prominently in the search results for “work from home” as an added bonus. I will link this post to the other one I did recently and give both an added boost.
