Using the free Google keyword research tool gives any small business a great opportunity to find keywords that could improve their businesses.

I spent a bit of time this morning doing a quick video that goes a bit into showing you how important the Google keyword tool can be when doing Google keyword research for your website.

What it really boils down to is that you can target keywords in different ways, For this example I chose to target a keyword that only gets 46 local searches a month. Now 46 is a very low number of searches, but if your post, your page and perhaps even your video all feature in the first page of that keywords SERPS results then you are guaranteed to get almost all those searchers.

The best part is that because there was only 7 competing pages with that keyword in the title and in the description, I am very confident that I will be up there on page one with a matter of days.

Then the entire concept is to do the same thing for a number of similar keywords, all ones that are easy to rank for, and the visitors – while low in numbers – will just keep on coming.

So I will be working for most of today on this keyword targeting system, BUT once I have finished, I probably will not need to much more to the pages and will be getting at least 5 more visitors a day to my website.

I would like to point out to you a few other factors that I have done to this page as I went along with this keyword marketing plan.

Firstly the main keyword is Google keyword research and if you look I have added it into the main title of the page. Then not that when doing the formatting of the page I added the keyword into the opening sentence of this page and made that a H1 Title heading. I then added the keyword into the second sentence of this page and it is done as a H2 title.

Then all through the page I have found the keywords (or similar keywords) and put them in bold or italics.

I have linked out from this page to at least one other page on my own website, and sometimes it is wise to link out to another page or website that is relevant to your page or product.

Then if you look you can see that I added tags to this page that are all relevant to the original keyword.

On this website I use a plugin called all in one SEO and I have added all the correct details to that section too.

Finally I made you that video (- it is placed onto YouTube). Now remember that I would have been to you-tube to upload that video, and therefore all the times that the video is watched from this page it still gets me a view credit at you-tube, which also adds up slowly to the actual video becoming ranked all on its own too.

So by targeting a keyword “Google keyword research” I got you here, and I will continue to get  50 or so visitors for this exact keyword every month forever, I then get to show you how to use the power of good keyword research to your benefit, and finally – best of all – I get to offer you a copy of my report on small business opportunities in South Africa.
