Start a Small Business
To start a small Business you only need a few things.
I have 30 – plus years of running my own businesses and while these have always been micro businesses – I have written two different training products that relate to starting up a small business.
The first training product that I completed was with the crafter in mind, and takes you right from idea to completion.
The second small business start-up book that I completed is recent as I have taken the 30 months experience that I have online and turned it into an easy step by step training course.
However I have written this page here to give you some starter advice and to give you some great tips.
Starting up a small business needs to have only a few things to turn your business into a roaring success, and if you can meet those easy points you will have a business that will be the envy of all your friends and family.
Here are the basics that you need for your business to be a success.
- You need a product that is is demand
- You need to price that product that it is perceived as real value for money
- You need to place your product within sight of those who are looking for that product
- You then need to actually supply them with their ordered product
- That is it – then you keep doing that for awhile.
Now you might think that I an being a little obvious here, and even silly, but I need to point out a fact. It is really true – that to start a small business – those items are really all you need, the rest is just filler.
- I can show you exactly what people are looking for in your chosen field of business
- I can show you exactly how many people are looking for that product
- I can show you where they are looking
- I cannot show you what price that they are looking for – Sorry – but hell all the above was pretty great already huh?
The (free advice) steps that you need to take to achieve this simple result.
Naturally in my course I go into all this in huge detail, but for now I happily offer you the basic steps that you will need to follow to achieve this result.
Step one.- Start a small Business – Choose your niche / Business idea.
Now normally I would tell you that I realise that you already know what business you want to do. I accept that for a very long time you have been swirling this idea around in your head.
Fine.
But – I suggest that you use my following steps to confirm that you really have a viable business idea.
I would like to add that in some cases this Google keyword tool method does not work. For example people that use machinery to “x-ray” cement bridges and concrete structures for civil engineers do have a viable business model, and that one will not show up as a good idea in my Google method.
OK!, here is what you need to do, go and use the free Google keyword tool to find out how popular you idea is, and fine tune your research to find the most in demand section within your niche idea.
If you have done this correctly then you will know exactly which sections of your business model will be the most profitable – BECAUSE you would have found out what exact numbers of people are looking for your product.
Step Two – Start a small Business – Pre planning
Here you check if the demand for that section of your niche can be met. Yow would confirm that you can supply that idea or item. Then you check that your pricing is good enough.
I believe in a simple rule of thumb here – Over deliver, and you will always have happy customers.
Step three – Start a small Business – Foundations
WARNING!!!! Be very careful as to who you trust and believe about how to set up your website. In fact I suggest that you get a few references on whoever you plan to trust. (even myself)
Build your website. Do not use any crappy methods, do not pay a lot of money for this.
Simply use cheap hosting – use a word-press blog – use decent plugins etc, and definitely do the correct SEO.
Then add your product to the website, and start to do your keyword research for your website.
Having done that – do your pages and posts using very targeted keywords. Keep doing your social marketing and search engine marketing.
This is all simple and easy to do, BUT I do admit that it does take time.
Step four – Start a small business – stock and showroom
Finally if you have an offline (read ordinary) business that was part of your original concept – then set that up now.
So for example if you made cushions, then you would start to make your stock, and set up your showroom. However you would have already set up the online ordering side of your website, or even made your website a site that sells new cushion designs and patterns worldwide.
Now you would have two streams of income.
Conclusion.
I realise that this is such a short and even a bit confusing if you really are starting up a business.
I have a lot of reports that I can send you if you need help.
If you are serious about starting a new business simply start by getting all the reports that I offer here on this website, they are all shown as banner adverts on the side of this website.
