business ideasI have to confess to having been very busy with my own business ideas and my clients business ideas, and have been too busy to post here.

In fact to be honest, I am likely to be busy until somewhere in August because I am pleased to say that a lot of people are acting upon their business ideas thoughts – and starting up businesses online.
However I have a few minutes and wanted to point out some things I noticed recently.

Google is forcing people to become honest

Due to Google s latest and ongoing algorithm changes most “bad” websites have been cut completely or dropped right down the search engine results pages, and that is a good thing.

All those massive marketers who owned thousands of websites targeting all the “money” keywords have been dealt a big blow.

However it has also hit those website owners who have weak websites, or who were lazy and do not keep their websites up to date.

It used to be that if you could afford it – you bought fancy software and got your websites set up to run automatically. This is not that easy anymore, and the website or business owner who is using good old fashioned marketing systems will thrive. The newcomers with good business ideas are having to adapt fast.

This does not mean just telling the occasional person to visit your website :) , but means the business owner who is posting fresh relevant content daily, and sharing that content creatively with their social markets.

The Courses I am seeing are also becoming honest.

This is amusing to see.

Trends do happen, and a year ago there were dozens of courses offering “three-step” riches. You bought the course, pushed “three buttons” and bingo, like magic you start to make millions. :)

Funny!

However millions of desperate people fell for those courses, but they are now a thing of the past. Now it is difficult to tell the liars apart from the genuine trainers because they are all wearing a cloak of “honesty”. This makes someone with a genuine business ideas confused and unable to know where to start

Well, I buy most of the courses anyway, and read reviews about the ones that are too expensive for me to buy just to see what they are on about.

BUT

I am pleased to say that even thought the courses are all generally divided into four main money making methods

  • Pure affiliate marketing
  • Amazon Marketing
  • Kindle marketing
  • Offline marketing

They are all teaching almost the exact systems that are common to doing honest and easy to apply marketing online these days.

For me to be able to stay at the very front of all current changes that are happening online, I buy a lot of courses, read a lot of information that relates to Internet marketing and communicate with a few other active marketers and this keeps me up to date with what is necessary to keep your business on top these days.

Bad news is – NONE of these courses are aiming at a normal business startup, or business owner.

All the courses and skills being taught are completely ignoring that normal person who does not want to build a 200 website online business, but simply wants to start a website that will drive business to them via the website.

The courses that are there are teaching web-masters like myself how to find those clients and how to sell online services to them.

This is a little unfair to that new business owner, and a natural result of economics.

It has proven very hard to “sell” products and courses to newcomers online, as they are naturally sceptical in the beginning. Worse, they tend to buy to scam stuff in the beginning, and then think the whole of the online world is crooked. This has led trainers to simply stop trying to sell to new business owners. They also tend to come online with poor quality support (their brother, cousin etc doing their websites until now) and do not see the need for professional help.

Time teaches them otherwise, but that first contact with them tends to be a lot of time wasting while they realise that the potential for money online is massive, but needs to be done correctly.

What a newcomer needs to do is actually very simple, but should involve experienced support.

I repeat this list millions of time on all my websites – but here it is again

You need to do the following , and to do them all 100% correctly, and when they are done your website will be getting 100% of the available traffic to that keyword or niche.

Here is the list (in a very brief way)

  • Choose your niche carefully, using at least five different methods, but mostly using keyword research.
  • Set up a website with normal hosting, ONLY WORDPRESS, correct plug-ins, correct tags and a lot more here.
  • Add keyword related content that is interesting, relevant and fun (oh and original) and do this all the time.
  • Share this content socially, in a fun and friendly way.
  • Cash the cheques!

That is almost all you need to do. Seriously :)

OK, I was planning to only point out that Google was forcing everyone to be honest these days, and ended up chatting a bit more as usual.

While I am constantly saying that I am very busy, and it is true, I do not want you to think that I am now cut off from you.

I will still happily help anyone with advice – so if you have a question about starting up a small business, and need help in needing to know where to start – please do not be too chicken to call me.
